Mike is a Red Roan and Truffle, well she is unique in color some say sable and some say just a faded out chocolate. Either way, they are both stunning.

Cavies ~ Colors and Breeds
Boucle or Alpaca Cavy
Following is a generalization of the Boucle/Alpaca and how they may pop up occasionally within your breeding program of Peruvians. These are facts from my own basic experience and not from any text book.
The Boucle/Alpaca cavy are NOT showable in America. This lovely little mixture comes from breeding Peruvian to Texel. Basically just a curly haired Peruvian. They are identified in a Peruvian litter as a Texel baby with two rump rosettes. Can be created by the breeding of Peruvian x Texel. A Peruvian x Peruvian breeding will certainly create Peruvian offspring. If both sow and boar carry the gene of a breeding with Texel then a cross between these two could possibly give you a Boucle.
Below is a Boucle at 4 weeks old and then at approximately 5 months old – the color is a Tortoise Shell and Black which is always a red and black
